this is the band the great tyrant. they scare me. i like being scared. if you enjoy intricate bizarro prog with lyrics that don't make a shit if you understand'em or not, then give them a listen. or several. shit, just tell'em you want their cd so you can listen to the great tyrant everyday.

you've got daron screamin' & assaulting keyboards , tommy on that thick fuckin' bass, & jon keepin' all the shit together on drums. when combined, everything around you warps into another dimension. a very dark, strange dimension. the black lodge comes to mind. this is definitely music to kill cats to. or at least think about killin' cats.

doremi fasa latido

hawkwind kicks ass. but only hawkwind with lemmy in the line-up. this album, doremi fasa latido, is the best one that i've heard. i imagine that traveling thru hyperspace feels the way that this sounds. my personal favorite song on the album is "time we left this world today". some folks say that the version on their live album, space ritual, is better. i highly disagree. the sound is much cleaner. it a very bass heavy track. lemmy's bass solo is f'n amazing. the song as a whole is pretty heavy & works it's way to a complete and total freak out. both sides of this album are very impressive & mean soundin'. goes best with headphones & a joint.
